Grandma Pat's Inner Youth
As everyone knows Grandma Pat was one of a kind and she spoke her mind even if we weren't ready for it. She was very much bluntfully honest and fiesty. I think those are two great qualities to have. You always knew where you stood with her.
Before she got very sick we had so many talks and laughs. I still find my self smililing and giggling the many times together. One of my favorite times with Grandma Pat was Thanksgiving with the Cannone's and our roadtrip to Waterloo for the Roughrider game. When Grandma got going there was no way to keep up. I don't think I ever laughed so hard between Joanne and Grandma. Poor Al on that roadtrip he was a saint.
Also I giggle with Grandma at our boys baseball games. She loved watching her many so called boys play baseball. Needless to say some days it was probably best she was sitting in the car. She loved her grandkids and don't mess with them. She was known to all that knew her Grandma Pat. The kids loved her, everyone loved her. She may have been quite a bit older in age but in heart she could hang right with the best of them.
I will never forget Grandma Pat and she truly had that inner strength I admired. She taught me alot and I feel I am a better person being around Grandma Pat and I know my whole family feels the same. She lit up a room with laughter and happiness. It was so unfortunate her last years she was bed ridden but the Pat I will always remember is the Grandma Pat that lived her life to the fullest and her smile/smirk was priceless. The world is a better place because Grandma Pat was in it. I will watch over the Allard's and get Sue out and about Grandma. Sue wouldn't have done it any other way then looking over you until your final breath. RIP Grandma Pat...
Much love, Tammy
