Condolence: To Brian's family, My name is Amy. You do not know me, but our family lost a child about 15 months ago. It is a long hard journey that we are still trying to cope with. I just want you to know that our hearts go out to you filled with prayers of peace and comfort. It is awful, but each day gets a little bit better. Sometimes I feel like it is two steps forward, one step back. Stay strong, hold on to each other and be patient. While this doesn't make it a lot easier, it does make it somewhat easier. Be kind to yourselves. (I read the obit in Sunday's paper)

Condolence: Brian, I love you man. Always will. We did not hang out a lot, but when we did it was a riot man. I was never depressed around you not once. Thanks for being a part of my life, and making my first year at Anime Iowa, Truly memorable. I won't let the memories you left me die. I will take them to my grave when my time has come. So until the next time we meet, take care man.

Condolence: My heartfelt condolences to the family and friends. I enjoyed getting to know BJ while I was at Linn-Mar. He was a very special young man and will be missed.

Condolence: I will always remember you for your art, laughter and ability to make sure everyone enjoyed themselves no matter what. I only met you once, but you had a huge impact in that one night. I wish I would have had the chance to get to know you better. Your life had such a huge influence on so many people. You will be missed by many who knew you well and love you.

Condolence: I remember BJ so well from Cub Scouts! He was so much fun, so full of life. I am so very sorry for your loss...I'm sure he will be missed very much by you and his friends.
Andy called to let me know that BJ had passed away. He also remembers BJ and how much he added to our den and all our outings.

Condolence: I didn't know BJ for an exceedingly long amount of time, but long enough to know what a tremendous person he was. I cannot forget the smile he wore on his face when he was with all of his friends, hanging out and being in a world where he could be anything or anyone he wanted.

He was so tremendously creative and brilliant. When he would come and hang out with the Cedar Rapids crew of friends, we would all talk for hours on end, laugh, share stories, and forget about everything if only for a little while. Yet his group of friends would always band together instantly in case of a problem or situation and we could always depend on each other to be there when we needed one another.

My only regret is that I didn't get to know him better. He was a great man and will be missed by all, including myself, a person he touched tremendously, if but briefly.

Condolence: BJ is a friend of my son Lee, and was a guest in our home a number of times. BJ was a pleasure to have here and we always enjoyed his company. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. Please accept our deepest sympathy.

Condolence: Dear Hope and friends of BJ, I am Chris Bevard's Mother and when Chris and BJ were in School together they were inseparable , BJ spent many an afternoon in my home and at my kitchen table sharing a meal. He was a loving and joyous soul. and a wonderful friend to My son . I loved hearing the band play together, it was a way they could really just express their selves and have fun those were wonderful times and I will never forget Brian , his constant chatter , his crazy laugh and all that he meant to us.
