Obituary for Sheryl Jean Scofield

Sheryl Jean Scofield, 64, of Central City, died Saturday, April 5, 2014, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at the United Methodist Church, Viola, Iowa. A Celebration of Life will follow the service on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Fawn Creek Country Club, Anamosa. Private family inurnment: Hazel Knoll Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Larry; three sons, L.J., Mark, and Dan (Marcia) Scofield; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters; four brothers; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Sheryl was born March 4, 1950, in Cedar Rapids. She married Larry Scofield on September 16, 1970, in Cedar Rapids. Sheryl was a Para-educator with the Anamosa School District for 30 years. She enjoyed antiquing and attending auctions, and mostly, spending time with her grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to Camp Courageous or St. Luke’s Unity Point Hospice in Sheryl’s memory.
