Zach William Mallison, 24, of Marion, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, April 20, 2014, following a brief illness. Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2014, at Cornerstone Church, Marion, by Pastor Matt Proctor. The family will greet friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church on Friday. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion.

Survivors include his parents, William James Mallison and Sharon Jean Kerkman Mallison.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Dawn Kerkman; an aunt, Patty Engelking; and grandparents, Harold and Maxine Kerkman, and Bertram and Lex Mallison.

Zach was born February 10, 1990, in Denver, Colorado. He worked as a caretaker for the elderly and was a member of Cornerstone Church in Marion. Zach enjoyed fishing and camping. He was always smiling. Zach loved people and animals and especially loved his dogs.
